List Of All Bermuda Premiers
From 1968 to 1998 the UBP had seven Premiers: Sir Henry Tucker, Sir Edward Richards, Sir John Sharpe, Sir David Gibbons, Sir John Swan, Dr. David Saul and Dame Pamela Gordon. From 1998 – 2012 the PLP had four Premiers: Dame Jennifer Smith, Alex Scott, Dr. Ewart Brown and Paula Cox. Since taking power in 2012, the OBA has had two Premiers: Craig Cannonier and Michael Dunkley.
Sir Edward Richards [UBP] was the first black Premier, Dame Pamela Gordon [UBP] was the first female Premier, Dame Jennifer Smith [PLP] was the first female to lead a political party to victory, and Sir John Swan [UBP] is Bermuda’s longest serving Premier.
